We are seeking a Sr. Water Resources Project Manager to lead and deliver a variety of water resources projects, including stormwater management, floodplain analysis, and dam safety. This role involves managing high-profile projects for municipal, state, federal, and private sector clients, from large mixed-use developments to targeted infrastructure improvements.
The Sr. Water Resources Project Manager will guide a team of engineers and project managers, ensuring all deliverables meet technical and regulatory standards. This includes developing project scopes, schedules, and budgets; directing design efforts; reviewing hydrologic and hydraulic models; and preparing permit applications and technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead water resources projects from planning through construction.
- Provide technical oversight and quality assurance for designs, reports, and permits.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and team workloads.
- Coordinate with internal disciplines, external consultants, and regulatory agencies.
- Prepare and negotiate proposals, contracts, and change authorizations.
- Support business development and mentor junior staff.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Virginia (or ability to obtain in other states).
- Minimum 10+ years experience in water resources engineering with team leadership.
- Strong knowledge of stormwater management, floodplain regulations, and dam safety.
- Proficiency with H&H modeling software (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HEC-1, HY-8, Flowmaster).
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with ArcMap and AutoCAD.
