QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Minimum of High School diploma
- Valid Nebraska Driver's License
- Knowledge in the safe and proper use/care of equipment and supplies
- Ability to work from written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of computer use
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Include, but are not limited to)
- Painting of assigned rooms, halls, walls, etc., with appropriate paint and colors as directed
- Preparation and painting of playground equipment, play surfaces, and assigned parking lots
- All wall repairs and other preparation required prior to painting
- Protect all adjacent walls, windows, floors or glass from paint to keep cleanup at a minimum
- Record all work accomplished on appropriate record keeping documents
- Follow safety standards when working with ladders, scaffolds, paint, paint thinners, and other supplies
- Proper care of painting tools and equipment
- Repairs / replace broken windows, including thermal pane glass
- Requisition and install / and maintain internal building signage for all district buildings
- Floor covering repair / installation (carpet, VCT)
- Floor and wall ceramic tile repair, including grout work
- Make major/minor repairs, within capabilities, to building materials, building furnishings, door hardware, and other equipment as directed
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Respond to calls during unscheduled working hours
- Knowledge of carpentry, door hardware, cabinetry
- Familiar with taping, plastering, hole filling, and minor wall repair/preparation
- Perform any other duties as directed by the Director of Facilities and Operations Manager
