Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

As an Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will make an impact by being a key contributor to the design, implementation, and management of scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud infrastructure solutions using Microsoft Azure. Your deep expertise in Azure services will enable seamless application deployment, robust security, and efficient DevOps practices. You will collaborate across teams to deliver innovative technology solutions that support business growth and operational excellence. You will be a valued member of our Infrastructure Services team and work collaboratively with our Senior Cloud Architect.

In this role, you will

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using Azure services to meet business requirements.
• Manage and optimize Azure Pipelines and Release processes to ensure efficient deployment of applications.
• Oversee the integration of Azure Repos for version control and collaboration among development teams.
• Utilize Azure App Service to deploy and manage web applications with high availability and scalability.
• Implement and manage Azure AKS for containerized applications ensuring seamless orchestration and scaling.
• Secure sensitive data by configuring and managing Azure Key Vault for secrets management.
• Use Azure Resource Manager to automate the deployment and management of resources in the cloud.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of infrastructure solutions with business goals.
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues to maintain optimal performance and availability.
• Provide technical guidance and support to development teams to enhance their productivity and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices in all infrastructure solutions.
• Continuously evaluate and implement new Azure features and services to improve infrastructure capabilities.
• Document infrastructure designs processes and procedures for knowledge sharing and future reference.

Work model

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Plano, Texas. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.

What you need to have to be considered

• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade Azure cloud solutions.
• Strong proficiency in Azure DevOps, including Pipelines, Repos, and Release Management.
• Hands-on experience with Azure App Service, AKS, and Key Vault.
• Skilled in infrastructure automation using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles and governance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to infrastructure monitoring and issue resolution.
• Effective communicator with a collaborative mindset and ability to work across cross-functional teams.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest Azure innovations.
