Job Title: Home Services Supervisor
Department: Home Services
Status: FT Year Round Hourly
Reporting To: Home Services Manager

Position Overview:

Powder Mountain is seeking a dynamic, hands-on Home Services Supervisor For year round Operations, to oversee daily operations of our Home Services team with a strong focus on winter snow removal and year-round facilities care. This dual-role leadership position combines field supervision with operational planning, making it ideal for candidates with both managerial capabilities and advanced technical experience in snow removal and seasonal property maintenance.

The successful candidate is proactive, safety-conscious, and committed to excellence, capable of guiding crews, maintaining high service standards, and fostering a culture that reflects Powder Mountains values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Operations: Oversee daily operations of the Home Services team, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery. Supervise staff on-site, delegate tasks, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Work Order & Project Management: Track and manage work orders and projects via CMMS platforms like Limble.
  • Inspections & Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safe practices, environmental stewardship, and adherence to service standards.
  • Hiring & Training: Support seasonal hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and ongoing training for Tier IIII Technicians. Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and accountability.
  • Communication & Reporting: Act as liaison between Home Services and Leadership, providing regular updates on team performance and operations.

Year-Round Duties

  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce all safety protocols, ensure correct use of PPE, and report hazards or equipment issues promptly.
  • Standards Enforcement: Uphold team compliance with safety, appearance, and conduct standards.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain small to medium equipment (e.g., snow blowers, plow trucks, weed whackers).
  • Technician Duties: Perform Tier IIII responsibilities as needed to support operations.

Seasonal Responsibilities

Summer:

  • Landscaping & Maintenance: Mow, trim, and maintain community grounds and facilities.
  • Fire Mitigation: Clear brush, dead trees, and pine duff to maintain defensible space in line with local regulations.
  • Weed Control: Remove noxious weeds via hand-pulling, spraying, or mechanical methods.

Winter:

  • Snow & Ice Management: Supervise and assist with manual snow/ice removal from critical areas.
  • De-Icing: Apply salt, sand, and other agents with environmental care.
  • Weather Monitoring: Adjust strategies based on weather conditions; identify and mitigate hazards like black ice or poor visibility.

Requirements and/or Qualifications:

  • Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older
  • At least 2 years of snow removal or outdoor facility operations
  • At minimum 1 year of Proven leadership or supervisory experience required (experience at Powder Mountain strongly preferred)
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Candidates are required to supply their own weather-appropriate and waterproof footwear (e.g., work boots and snow boots) and face protection (such as a sunglasses, hats, or balaclava)
  • Safety First Mentality: Ensure compliance to all safety regulations and company policies and inform management in case of violations
  • Reliability: Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic and positive attitude and have reliable transportation to and from the resort in all weather conditions
  • Team-Oriented: Willing to take direction and contribute to a supportive team environment with a good attitude, positive mindset, and able to adapt to an ever-changing work environment and situation
  • Technical Skills: familiar with OSHA safety protocols; OSHA 30 certification preferred (or willing to obtain) and comfortable with using project management tools
  • Communication: Reliable, clear communicator with a team-first attitude and professional guest interaction
  • Schedule Flexibility: Available for early morning shifts, weekends, holidays, and unplanned events or snowstorms throughout the year

Physical Requirements: - Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to:

  • Full range of body movements
  • Reach, push, pull, lift, and carry objects that may be heavy (50+ pounds)
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, twisting, and repetitive actions
  • Walk on even/uneven/slippery terrain
  • Climb/descend stairs
  • Manual dexterity to operate manual tools and power equipment on a constant basis
  • Safely handle hazardous materials

Working Environment:

Work is performed outside and is exposed to extreme temperatures, sun and wind, inclement weather (rain, wind, snow, ice) and high altitudes (9,000ft+). Team Members can be exposed to engine noise and exhaust. Team Members will be working around moving machines/equipment. Surfaces are compacted snow/ice and can become slippery.
