Construction Accountant

I am working with a well-established, growing residential construction company seeking a Senior Accountant

About Us We specialize in building high-quality residential projects ranging from production style homes to large-scale communities. As our company continues to grow, we need an organized and detail-oriented accountant to help us maintain strong financial foundations.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Assist with job cost accounting, ensuring expenses are properly coded to projects.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Assist with billing, lien waivers, and draws/progress payment applications.
• Maintain accurate records and help ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP.
• Provide support to the Controller and Project Managers as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience; construction accounting experience preferred.
• Familiarity with job costing and progress billing a plus.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
