Commercial Electrical Project Manager

Growing union electrical contractor is seeking an experienced project manager, estimating experience is preferred but not required. Manor Electric has been in business for 35 years and is a commercial and residential contractor doing business primarily in the Twin Cities area with contracts that are up to $5M. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Collaborates with Manor's team, office staff, field personnel, suppliers and customers. Must be able to organize schedules, place material orders and address needs on job sites daily.

Must be able to have awareness to profitability and costs associated with all jobs. Will be responsible to review contracts on projects and reviewing of estimates.

Must be organized and be able to document that includes but not limited to new quotes, change orders, purchase orders, scheduling, bid plans and provide closeout documents at project completion.

Must be a self starter to initiate, manage and meet project budgets and timeliness. Must be able to negotiate pricing with wholesale houses.

Must be able to understand staffing needs and conduct and/or assist in filling those needs

Must be able to streamline projects, assist and keep projects on schedule and ensure job safety at all times.

Able to understand bidding, project blueprints, timelines, manage multiple jobs active in field along with the crews on site.

Qualifications:

Two year technical associate degree in the electrical field, experience in project management or construction management or similar discipline

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to foresee events and anticipate changes in conditions and operations to the greatest extent possible and the ability to react and provide effective solutions.

Experience in commercial, residential and EV electrical applications

Strong project management

Valid MN Driver's License

Software experience preferred: Auto Desk, Blue Beam, McCormick and Microsoft programs

Minimum 2 years as a Construction Project Manager

This position is in house, not hybrid/remote. Must have construction experience and have project management experience. Must have electrical experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
