- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Act as the primary point of contact with clients regarding projects.
- Conduct technical reviews of specifications, drawings, and contracts to ensure constructability.
- Lead project planning and status meetings to maintain schedule and financial adherence.
- Provide schedule updates on engineering, construction, and budget status to management teams.
- Oversee and coordinate construction package reviews, pre-award meetings, and site walk-downs.
- Manage submittals, reviews, and coordination of required project information.
- Ensure timely identification and communication of necessary outages to avoid schedule conflicts.
- Obtain required permits and approvals for fieldwork.
- Assist with the coordination and reporting of significant activities on construction projects.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections.
- Focus on stakeholder interaction and client expectations when planning and executing projects.
- Follow project management tenets to control funding, resources, schedules, and activities.
- Adhere to client methods, processes, and policies in project planning and execution.
- 10+ years of experience in high voltage project management for Senior PM roles.
- 6+ years of experience in high voltage project management for Project Manager roles.
- Bachelors degree in engineering, construction management, or relevant utility project management experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective leadership and organizational abilities.
- Experience in electric utility project management, particularly in substations or transmission.
- PMP certification preferred.
This role is based in the Akron, OH area with a requirement to travel to client sites as needed (10-20%). Candidates should reside within a 25-mile radius and be willing to commute to the office twice a week for the first six months. After this period, the option to work fully remote is available.
