- Perform load calculations and site surveys.
- Conduct design reviews and prepare detailed engineering drawings and schematics.
- Perform field inspections for MEP systems.
- Manage HVAC/MEP design projects from conception through construction.
- Engage in construction administration and project management tasks.
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering, specifically in HVAC or Plumbing projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD designing with 4+ years' experience.
- Strong knowledge of building codes such as NYS Energy Code, NYS Mechanical Code, NYS Building Code, and NFPA.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Capability in report writing.
- Experience with estimating on projects is a plus.
- Possession of EIT or PE certifications is advantageous, but not mandatory.
The role is based in the Bohemia office with occasional site visits, initially once per week, subject to increase based on project needs. On-site duties include field survey work to observe and assess existing conditions without testing or disassembly. The position offers a generous benefits package with 20 days combined PTO/Sick leave and 10 Federal Holidays.
