Job Description The Construction Project Manager is responsible for obtaining permits and overseeing the site construction of all photo enforced systems in Florida. The role involves conducting site engineering studies and surveys to evaluate the feasibility of red-light camera and speed violation camera installations, utilizing existing company practices and adhering to local codes and guidelines. Responsibilities
- Conduct site engineering studies and surveys to assess site feasibility for camera installations.
- Manage traffic studies and ensure timely and accurate production of client reports.
- Oversee the project utilities process from account application to final connection and inspection.
- Attend weekly meetings and provide project status updates to managers and staff.
- Coordinate and review civil engineering plans submitted to municipalities, counties, and FDOT.
- Ensure timely resolution of issues through regular follow-up communications with relevant parties.
- Research and document regulations pertinent to new clients or RFP requests for camera installation and operation.
- 2-4 years of experience working on FDOT projects.
- Experience with FDOT regulations and codes.
- Proficiency in project management, construction management, and overseeing utility installation projects.
- Experience in roadway construction, subcontractor management, electrical construction, and project scheduling.
- Ability to manage change orders, wiring, cabling, and project coordination.
- Knowledge of the permitting process with FDOT.
- Ability to perform daily inspections, maintain accurate records, and document as-built plans and equipment inventory.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering plans and specifications.
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and make timely decisions.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
