Production Supervisor

Atlas Roof Shingles & Underlayments is seeking a Production Supervisor for the Ardmore, OK facility.

Production Supervisor Primary Responsibilities

• Supervise the on-shift personnel and activities to achieve or exceed determined standards to produce a quality product in a safe manner and within customer specifications.
• Assign and maintain workflow, checks progress and quality of work, assists employees in the course of their daily work activities and assures compliance with production schedules.
• Responsible for ensuring proper job sequence and set up of work, verifying accuracy of work and timecard information, recording overtime work, maintaining flow of finished goods to shipping and proper material and tool storage.
• Investigate and eliminate production variability resulting in downtime and/or below standard measurements and determine remedial action.
• Coordinate activities with any related departments; determines that proper quality control procedures are being followed.
• Responsible for efficient utilization of manpower and machinery.
• Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping and maintaining safe work practices and conditions.
• Prepare and maintain production reports and records.
• Coordinate handling of employee grievances with Superintendent and HR as necessary.
• Constant surveillance of machinery and equipment, and other duties determined by the Superintendent.

Production Supervisor Experience

• Minimum five (5) years manufacturing experience
• Minimum two (2) years prior supervisory experience preferred

Production Supervisor Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Must have sound organizational skills.
• Ability to provide relevant and timely information in a clear manner.
• Ability to think through issues and develop solutions in a timely manner.
• Willing to work with others and utilize group dynamic to form solutions.
• Must be able to speak fluent English.
• Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point

Production Supervisor Education, Licenses & Certifications

• High School Diploma

Production Supervisor Additional Information

• Physical Requirements: Regularly standing, walking, lifting, handling, reaching, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, coordination; and occasionally carrying, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
• Vision Requirements: far and near acuity, depth perception, field of vision, and color
• Environmental Requirements: extreme heat/cold and temperature changes, wet, humid and noise
