Pay Rate: $30/hour
Job Description:
We are seeking skilled Glaziers to join our team for commercial and residential glazing projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in glass installation, framing, and specialty glazing systems while adhering to strict safety and quality standards.
Scope of Work:
Glass Installation
Install all types of glass, including:
Annealed, tempered, laminated, wired, insulated, Low-E, tinted, and bullet-resistant glass.
Glass setting in:
Windows (residential & commercial), doors (automatic & revolving), storefronts, skylights, and curtain wall systems.
Framing & Support Systems
Installation and glazing of:
Aluminum storefront and curtain wall systems.
Channel glazing, structural silicone, and point-supported systems.
Glass handrails and guardrails.
Specialty Glazing
Interior and architectural glass:
Mirrors, glass partitions, shower enclosures, decorative/art glass.
Switchable privacy glass, fire-rated glass, and electrochromic glazing.
Sealants & Caulking
Apply caulking, silicone, butyl, and other sealants to secure glass and ensure weatherproofing.
Glass Fabrication & Handling
Cutting, grinding, drilling, and polishing glass (if shop work is required).
Use of cranes, suction cups, and robotic glass manipulators for large glass units.
Glass Removal & Replacement
Safe removal and disposal of broken/damaged glass.
Reglazing of existing windows and doors.
Safety & Compliance
Strict adherence to OSHA and Nevada OSHA standards.
Proper handling of glass and operation of lifts/scaffolds.
Use of PPE (gloves, safety glasses, harnesses) and fall protection equipment.
Tools & Equipment Used:
Glass cutters, suction cups, grinders, sealant guns, levels, tape measures.
Scaffolds/lifts, glass manipulators, PPE (gloves, safety glasses, harnesses).
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Glazier in commercial/residential projects.
Knowledge of various glass types and installation techniques.
Ability to work with framing systems, sealants, and fabrication tools.
Strong commitment to safety protocols and OSHA compliance.
Physical ability to handle heavy glass and work at heights.
