Position Overview
Were looking for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. You will design, develop, and improve parts and assemblies for our fabrication projects, ensuring functionality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing environment and loves turning ideas into reality.

Responsibilities
Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for metal parts, assemblies, and prototypes
BOM Organizing
Digital File Management
Work closely with shop floor teams to ensure designs are production-ready
Select materials and finishes suited for durability, performance, and cost
Apply manufacturing best practices, tolerances, and standards
Collaborate with team to meet design requirements and deadlines
Support R&D for new product concepts and improvements

Requirements
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes (welding, cutting, bending, machining)
Knowledge of GD&T and engineering documentation standards
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Proficient at Microsoft Office, Excel, Solid Works

Preferred Skills
Experience with automation systems or custom machinery design
Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA)
Hands-on shop or prototyping experience
