Due to long-term contracts and major upcoming builds, we are seeking a highly skilled, safety-focused A-Level Ticketed Self-Erecting Tower Crane Operator for a project-based position in our Richmond shipyard. This role will be dedicated to specific build projects, with potential for extension based on performance and future workload.

Key Responsibilities
Operate self-erecting tower cranes to hoist, move, and place structural components, equipment, and materials in the shipyard
Follow all company safety policies, industry regulations, and marine crane operation best practices
Conduct daily pre-operational inspections of crane and rigging equipment, reporting any defects or concerns
Coordinate lifts with ground crews, riggers, and project managers to ensure precision and safety
Maintain clear radio communication with all relevant personnel
Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting on crane equipment as required
Monitor weather and site conditions to ensure safe lifting operations
Participate in all safety meetings and training sessions

Qualifications
A-Level Ticketed Self-Erecting Tower Crane Operator certification
1015 years of verifiable experience operating self-erecting tower cranes
In-depth knowledge of crane safety regulations and best practices
Ability to perform daily inspections and preventative maintenance
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Proven ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Physically fit and able to work at heights
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
