What you’ll do as a Coax Supervisor
- Supervise, train, and develop a team of coax splicers.
- Field train and oversee the work of other splicers when necessary.
- Be able to perform any necessary equipment installation.
- Perform quality control inspections by reviewing work completed by employees and sub-contractors.
- Help maintain and enforce company, federal and state rules and regulations, such as non-discriminatory practices, payroll and overtime guidelines, etc.
- Partner up with HR in determining appropriate corrective actions and prepare supporting documentation to address employee performance and/or behavioral issues.
- Supervise all operations to ensure that all splicing projects are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications. This includes ensuring that all needed tools and equipment are available at the jobsite, working from engineered blueprints, and keeping track of production.
- Climb poles to complete daily construction assignments as needed.
- Resolve complaints with property owners.
- Complete daily production reports, mark-up maps, track work hours and complete "as-built maps."
- Reconcile all issued parts and materials on a daily basis to ensure accurate material usage counts.
- Provide verifiable evidence of experience in CATV construction field and prior supervisory experience in construction or related field.
- Willing to work shifts as assigned, including daily overtime when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need
- To be 18 years of age or older.
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
- Minimum of 12 months previous experience in a Coax Splicing Supervisor role preferred.
- Bucket truck experience.
- Possess a valid driver’s license (class "C" minimum) or be eligible and willing to obtain the required license for the position (possibly class "B" - light commercial).
- Capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions.
- Able to perform the physical tasks required in this position for the entire assigned shift.
Physical abilities & exposures
- Routinely:
- Walking - 4 to 6 hours daily
- Climbing - 6 to 8 hours daily
- Bending/Twisting - 6 to 8 hours daily
- Pushing/Pulling - 4 to 6 hours daily
- Repetitive Motion(grasping, manipulation) - 6 to 8 hours daily
- Lift & Carry (weights of 50 to 60 lbs.) - regularly / daily
- Occasionally:
- Lifting(weights up to 100lbs.)
Salary Range $75,000 - $87,000 per year
