MIG/TIG Welder

Randstad is currently seeking candidates for a MIG/TIG Welder opportunity in the Cleveland, TN area. Candidates being considered should highly skilled and detail-oriented ASME Certified Welders. The ideal candidate is a dedicated professional with proven proficiency in both Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG). You will be responsible for welding and fabricating components to exact specifications for critical applications, ensuring all work meets or exceeds ASME code standards and our company's commitment to quality. This is a direct hire opportunity with a starting salary up to $35/hr depending upon experience and certification. Previous pipefitting expereince is a plus. Candidates without ASME certification will be considered but experience must be proven through weld testing onsite at client facility. Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) welding on various materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, according to project specifications.
  
  
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, welding procedure specifications (WPS), and engineering drawings to determine project requirements.
  
  
• Set up and operate welding equipment, selecting appropriate gas, voltage, amperage, and feed rates.
  
  
• Weld components in flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.
  
  
• Inspect finished welds to ensure they are free of defects and conform to ASME code and other quality standards.
  
  
• Use fabrication tools such as grinders, plasma cutters, and saws to prepare and finish parts.
  
  
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
  
  
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment.
  
  

The essential functions of this role include:

working in a smoke free environment

wearing steel toe shoes

standing for 10 hours at one time
