A&C is seeking a Utility Infrastructure Construction Inspector to join our Civil Engineering Department for the Jefferson, St. Lawrence and Lewis County area.

The successful candidate will have expertise in municipal water and sewer distribution and collection systems, treatment, roadway, and site infrastructure. Responsibilities include: inspection documentation of daily construction activities, maintaining daily inspection logs, daily and weekly reports, measurement and tracking of unit price items for material and work performed, monthly payment application review, assistance to engineer regarding extra work claims and change orders, as-built documentation, monitoring of contractor scheduling, assistance with municipal permit, and liaison between with engineer, contractor(s), government agencies, and municipality. Must be capable of maintaining both written and computer-generated daily notes, logs and reports.

This position will require fieldwork travel.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

Associate's degree in construction management or engineering technology preferred

10-15 years of civil/site utility construction experience

Proven technical background in civil engineering

Ability to navigate a construction site

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to work efficiently with team members and clients, as well as capable of working independently at a remote job trailer

Maintain both written and computer generated daily photos/logs/notes and reports

Ability to meet project demands and deadlines

Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Email, and various web based file sharing

Pay Rage:

A&C is committed to offering fair and equitable compensation. The pay range listed is an approximation of our good faith effort to provide an anticipated wage range. The specific salary offered is dependent on the candidate's relevant experience, education, certifications, and licensure.

Pay Range: $35 - $50/hour depending on experience
