Lead Wire and Insulation Operator

Allient Inc. is currently seeking a Lead Wire and Insulation Operator to join our team in Oshkosh, Wisconsin!

We are looking for a dedicated Lead Wire and Insulation Kit Maker to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating various machinery and equipment to produce lead wires and insulation materials used in the manufacturing of electrical transformers. Responsibilities:

• Lead Wire Production: Operate lead wire dyeing, stripping, and cutting machinery to produce wires of varying sizes and colors for transformer assembly.

• Insulation Cutting: Perform insulation material cutting, ensuring precise measurements and correct machinery adjustments.

• Equipment Maintenance: Regularly check machinery oil and grease levels, ensuring smooth and safe operation.

• Material Handling: Select, bundle, and store materials, ensuring they are properly identified and stored in the designated areas.

• Workplace Safety: Observe all safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and your team.

• Training & Cross-Training: Assist with the training of new hires and cross-train existing employees to promote team development.

• Inventory Management: Keep track of materials and report shortages or inventory issues to the Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 9-12 months of relevant manufacturing experience.

• Proficient in operating lead wire dyeing and cutting equipment.

• Experience with hand tools, micrometers, and other measuring devices.

• Ability to read and follow technical specifications and work instructions.

• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and fractions).
