Location: West Milton, NY (Kesselring)

Status: Exempt / Full-Time / On-site

Salary Range: $85,000 to $105,000 depending on qualifications

Scope:

JGMS Government Services is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team as part of the Propulsion Plant Team Trainer (PPTT) project, which is a multi-site organization engaged in the design, production, testing, and delivery of advanced training simulators.

The successful candidate will:

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers across multiple locations.
• Review and disposition supplier mechanical design submittals to validate designs based on technical requirements.
• Interface with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are satisfied.
• Review static structural analyses of designs.
• Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling software.
• Experience with Model Based Design.
• Experience supporting design reviews and technical interchanges with suppliers.
• Experience reviewing static structural analyses (e.g. FEA).
• Ability to review, understand, and apply relevant engineering codes and standards (e.g. ASME, AWS).
• Experience with Design for Manufacturability and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience reviewing designs for joining processes (e.g. welding).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to think creatively and make recommendations to senior project personnel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products

Required Qualifications:

BS in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience.

Security Clearance:

A current active DOE L Security Clearance is required.

Background Check and Screenings
