We are currently looking for a Government Contracts Specialist to join our growing team. As a Government Contracts Specialist, you will report to the Director of Sales and will serve as the primary customer point of contact throughout the life of both direct U.S. Federal Government (USG) contract and indirect contracts through prime contractors.
To be considered for the Government Contracts Specialist position, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years' experience government contracting, FAR, DFAR, SAM, DIBBS, PIEE, DLA, DCMA, DCAA, TINA proposals, etc.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment (aerospace preferred) or contracting work supporting the aerospace manufacturing industry.
- PC and software proficiency (ERP/MRP, CRM, and Microsoft Office Suite).
As a Government Contracts Specialist, you will:
- Manage Contract full life cycle: Planning and conducting negotiations on price, technical requirements, terms, and conditions of the contract, contract assembly, review legal terms & conditions to ensure compliance, submittal and tracking through all phases of completion.
- Develop government compliant Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) packages.
- Collaborate cross functionally to manage & report on contract status, submissions, deliverables dates, and address potential issues.
- Act as point of contact to external government contracting officers, prime contractors, and subcontractors.
- Assist the Legal department in coordinating and reviewing contractual agreements. Coordinate input from internal stakeholders on business terms.
- Coordinate with the Finance and Revenue functions to ensure compliance with contract-specific cost accounting requirements, A/P and A/R.
- Assisting PMO and operations in contract interpretation as it pertains to program execution. Assist with government required actions to reflect Ontic as the EOM after product line acquisition or licensing. I.e. CAGE migration, gov logistics database updates.
- Responsible for coordination and maintenance of OIG entity registrations in System for Award Management (SAM).
- Support and participate in DLA, DCMA and DCAA audits as required, with support from Finance, revenue management, and other internal functions.
- Interpreting and applying current Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) Supplement, Agency directives, and local agency purchasing regulations, policies and procedures.

Salary Range:
- $80,000 - $120,000/year, based on experience
