NCDOT is looking for a highly motivated individual looking for a position with the potential of career advancement. This position will provide all state benefits including paid vacation and sick leave, health insurance, and retirement.
The primary purpose of this unit is contract administration and engineering control of highway construction projects. This position provides technical work supporting higher level technicians or engineers.
This position will provide general office and computer support for data entry relating to project records, SAP and HiCams. The position will be responsible for processing monthly and final estimates, checking calculations, resolving pay record and material quantity discrepancies, researching project documents, processing material prepayments, tracking DBE participation, assisting with project meetings and tracking Technician Certifications to ensure they are kept current.
You do not have to have a degree to qualify for this position. Applicants with at least two years of related experience are highly encouraged to apply.
Management prefers applicants with the following:
- Experience working in a team environment to complete assignments
- Knowledge and skill in the use of computer equipment, iPad and software
- Experience in customer service and interacting with the general public
