Slayden Constructors Inc SCI a wholly owned subsidiary of MWH Constructors Inc MWH is currently seeking experienced Pipelayers to support a critical wastewater treatment plant construction project in Estacada Oregon Slayden Constructors is a leader in the civil construction industry in the Pacific Northwest focused on water and wastewater infrastructure Over the last 40 years we have ingrained our reputation with our clients on successful projects bringing positive impacts to local communities Grow your career with a team that is committed to delivering quality projects timely and safely while supporting our guiding principles People Matter Team Unity Solutions Driven and Forward Focused Essential Functions Align and position pipes to prepare them for welding or sealingCheck slopes for conformance to requirements using levels or lasersConnect pipe pieces and seal joints using welding equipment cement or glueCover pipes with earth or other materialsCut pipes with earth or other materialsCut pipes to required lengthsDig trenches to desired or required depths by hand or using trenching toolsProcessing systems include both high pressure and low pressure pipe systems moving liquids or gases utilizing automatic controls in the treatment of wastewaterWork with backhoe operator to supervise the correct depth and grade to lay pipeWork with pipe craft and civil crews to place pipe in ditchesInstall or repair sanitary or stormwater sewer structures or pipe systemsInstall or use instruments such as lasers grade rods or transit levelsGrade or level trench bases using tamping machines or hand toolsLay out pipe routes following written instructions or blueprints and coordinating layouts with supervisorsPerform other duties as assignedBasic Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent Documentation must be provided at time of applicationMuch be able to follow building plans and blueprints to perform pipe layingTrained in Trenching and Excavation safetyMust be at least 18 years of ageMust have a valid drivers licenseIf requested the applicant shall furnish a written statement from a medical doctor that heshe has had a physical examination in connection with the application and is physically fit to perform the workRequired to communicate information ideas directions with the capability to perform the task or project discussedMust be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory and with utmost regard for safetyPre employment drug screening and background checks requiredBenefits Health Insurance medical dental and visionPaid Time Off sick time401k Plan company matching contributions up to 4Employee Referral Program10 Paid HolidaysLI AS1 LI ONSITE Equal Opportunity Employer including disabled and veterans Please note that all positions require pre employment screening including drug and background check as a condition of employment
