Plastic Welder/Fabricator Job Description

Position Summary:

The primary objective of the plastic welder is to set-up and operate fabrication equipment according to print specifications to meet the production demands in a timely manner. In addition to ensuring that quality guidelines and customer expectations are being met to the Satellite Suite standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read blueprints and engineering instructions
• Cut and shape material to required specs
• Operating plastic fabricating/welding equipment
• Understand and meet safety, quality, productivity and delivery goals and expectations
• Maintain and care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in plastic welding a plus.
• At least two years of related experience and/or training
• Understanding of all equipment, tools, and gages related to fabrication
• Must be able to read a blueprints
• Attention to detail
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Effective communication and problem solving
• Exceptional attendance record
