Job Title: Cable Technician

Location: In and around Franklin, MA

Employment Type: 6 month contract to hire

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cable Technician with experience in Cat5 and Cat6 installations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, testing, and terminating network cabling in commercial and residential environments. If you have a strong understanding of structured cabling systems and are proficient with Fluke testers and blueprint interpretation, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and terminate Cat5 and Cat6 cables in accordance with industry standards.

• Perform cable testing and certification using Fluke testers.

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to determine cable pathways and installation requirements.

• Ensure all terminations are clean, organized, and properly labeled.

• Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues.

• Maintain accurate documentation of installations and test results.

• Adhere to safety protocols and company procedures.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Cat5/Cat6 cable installations and terminations.

• Proficiency with Fluke testing equipment.

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Certifications such as BICSI, OSHA, or equivalent are a plus.

• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
