Job Summary

The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of construction processes. Project Managers will work out of the office, located in Hoover, Alabama, and will travel to job sites as needed. Typically job sites are no more than two hours from the office.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and manage construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
Prepare and manage project budgets, track expenses, and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Review and approve project designs, drawings, and specifications.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
Foster a collaborative team environment and resolve conflicts as they arise.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree Engineering, Building Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in construction project management, preferably with a general contractor.
Proven track record of successfully managing projects valued at $5M+.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Proficiency in project management software (eg, Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar).
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Physical Requirements

Ability to visit and navigate construction sites, including climbing ladders and walking on uneven surfaces.
Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
