Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Architectural Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience using AutoCAD and possibly Revit, with a strong understanding of architectural drafting and the ability to create and organize plans and schedules. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for architecture and a solid grasp of building systems and design documentation.
Responsibilities:
Draft architectural plans, elevations, and sections using AutoCAD and Revit software.
Develop and maintain various project schedules, including room schedules, finish schedules, and equipment schedules.
Organize and format architectural plans to ensure compliance with building codes and design standards.
Coordinate with architects, designers, and project managers to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings and documentation.
Prepare drawing sets for permit submissions, construction, and bidding purposes.
Assist in preparing architectural design documentation for projects from concept through completion.
Review and incorporate project revisions and updates into drawings as necessary.
Maintain an organized filing system for all project files, including drawings, schedules, and specifications.
Ensure that all design and construction documents are up-to-date and follow company standards.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (experience with both is highly preferred).
Strong knowledge of architectural drafting standards and construction documentation.
Ability to create, manage, and update project schedules, such as room and finish schedules.
Experience with architectural plans, details, and construction drawings.
Knowledge of building codes, design guidelines, and industry best practices.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Experience in the architecture or construction industry is preferred.
Relevant degree or technical certification in drafting, architecture, or a related field is a plus.
