We are looking for someone to groom into a lead carpenter and construction foreman. We primarily construct boat docks and backyard decks. The work we do is outdoors - lots of nature and most of the time over the water. It is a great environment as long as you are acclimated to the Florida weather.
We are looking for someone that speaks both English and Spanish and someone who is willing to work under and take instruction from a current crew chief. The goal is that after 6-12 months working as a part of this crew, the applicant will be ready to lead a crew of his/her own. If you do not speak both English and Spanish, you will not be considered for this position.
The job does require lifting and relocating construction materials (boards, pilings, nails, etc.).
Applicant will need a reliable mode of transportation (pick-up truck is preferred), as we do jobs throughout the greater Orlando area (crew members meet at job site each morning).
We will provide all power tools (applicant is responsible for their own hand tools) and instruction.
Pay is bi-weekly via direct deposit to your bank account. Work authorization (citizenship, green card, etc.) is required for employment.
This position has huge potential for future growth and leadership, but only to those who are willing to put in the time and effort to learn from some of the best mentors around. If you're only looking to put in the effort to complete only the bare minimum, this opportunity is not the right fit.
