Project Architect
Job Description

Join our team as a Project Architect, where you will collaborate with both the project design team and client team throughout every phase of the project delivery process. This role involves contributing to all aspects of the architectural design process, including code analysis and research, project scheduling, and budgeting. You will attend and lead project meetings, maintaining and organizing project files, and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and design team consultants. The role requires occasional travel for project and client meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the project design team and client team throughout the project delivery process.
  • Contribute to all phases of the architectural design process, including code analysis and research.
  • Assist in creating project schedules and budgets.
  • Attend and lead project meetings.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and design team consultants.
  • Maintain and organize project files.
  • Travel as necessary for project and client meetings.
Essential Skills
  • 8-10 years of experience in the architecture industry with relevant built work experience.
  • Bachelors degree in architecture or Master of Architecture from an accredited program.
  • Experience with healthcare projects.
  • Strong technical project detailing and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in documenting all phases of the design process.
  • Excellent graphic and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and mentor others.
  • Exceptional client service orientation and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of Enscape and Adobe suite preferred.
  • Knowledge of project management platforms preferred.
  • Solid MS Office abilities.
Work Environment

This position is based in our Rockville, Maryland office, with a hybrid work arrangement available after six months. Initially, you will work in the office five days a week, transitioning to three days in the office after the initial period, with Mondays required for meetings. Our firm has a majority remote workforce, with about 6-8 employees in the office daily. We operate in a collaborative and dynamic environment, focusing on healthcare projects. Our new Class A office space, opened in 2021, offers free parking. We value complexity and challenge, fostering a positive and collaborative atmosphere. Employees may receive bi-annual bonuses based on firm profitability.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr.
