We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starting individual to join our Resort Maintenance team. The HVAC Technician/Apprentice will support the HVAC Lead in the preventative maintenance, repair, and installation of resort-wide systems, including air handlers, heat pumps, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, refrigeration, and both gas and electric kitchen equipment. This position is ideal for someone with a mechanical mindset, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic. Previous HVAC or refrigeration experience is preferred but not required. Wage dependent on experience.
Responsibilities- Respond to service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding project status and repair needs
- Maintain detailed service logs for all resort HVAC and kitchen equipment
- Assist with organizing tools, workspace cleanliness, and parts inventory
- Support coordination with outside contractors on specialized projects
- Follow assigned schedules and ensure consistent task completion
- Uphold resort standards for safety, cleanliness, and communication
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must have or be willing to obtain EPA Universal Refrigeration License
- Self-motivated team player with a dependable and friendly demeanor
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
- Previous HVAC or refrigeration experience preferred but not mandatory
Must be able to lift 50–75 lbs safely
Comfortable working in all weather conditions, including winter environments
Must be able to use ladders, work at heights, and access confined spaces
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor for extended periods
