Our Transportation Business Unit focuses on four markets: Bridges and Structures, Roads and Highways, Transit and Rail, and Construction Engineering.
The Transportation business unit is seeking a Senior Drainage Engineer in Salt Lake City, UT .
What Youll Do Key Responsibilities :- Lead drainage engineering teams on transportation projects--including freeways, interstates, interchanges, urban and rural highways, and shared-use facilities
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to support the design and construction of transportation infrastructure, public and private site developments, and flood control projects
- Drainage design, including, but not limited to, the design of storm sewers, culverts, detention/water quality facilities, bridge deck drainage, river hydraulics. bridge hydraulics, and roadside ditches.
- Coordinate and oversee the work of the assigned design team to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements
- Perform design and oversee preparation of plans and details using OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD, and/or Civil-3D
- Produce and QC erosion control and/or stormwater management plans, reports, quantities, and specifications
- Serve as lead drainage technical liaison with client on project efforts.
- Staff management of local drainage engineering staff
- Bachelors Degree in Civil or Water Resources Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of drainage design experience related to transportation infrastructure projects
- Must be able to lead effectively in a collaborative team environment and foster strong, positive relationships with both team members and clients
- Local county and municipality project experience
- Licensed Utah Professional Engineer
- Masters Degree in Civil or Water Resources Engineering
- Experience working with Utah Department of Transportation
- Bridge scour revetment design
- Demonstrated work experience with hydrologic and hydraulic computer programs including HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, Pondpack, and SRH-2D

- Potential salary range: $110,000 - $175,000
