Senior Data Center Construction Project Manager

A rapidly growing data center solutions provider is seeking a Senior Data Center Project Manager for a long term, possible temp to direct hire role. Project location is North Carolina. In this high-impact role, you'll manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships while ensuring top-tier quality and performance. Ideal for professionals with strong leadership skills and a passion for fast-paced, large-scale construction environments. Proven MEP experience with a GC required - specific experience with data center construction ideal.

responsibilities:

• Coordinate efforts across design, construction, and commissioning teams
  
  
• Manage large-scale data center construction sites with on-site presence
  
  
• Track project budgets, schedules, and cash flow forecasts
  
  
• Ensure documentation and processes meet quality standards
  
  
• Interface with power and fiber utility providers
  
  
• Provide executive-level progress reporting and performance metrics
  
  
• Partner with client teams to ensure infrastructure uptime and reliability
  
  
• Align project execution with long-term operational needs
  
  
• Support preconstruction and business development with technical insights
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in construction or engineering
  
  
• 5+ years of experience managing data center construction projects
  
  
• Proven background working for a general contractor (GC experience required)
  
  
• Skilled in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF tools, and CAD/Visio
  
  
• Effective communicator with strong leadership and multitasking abilities
  
  
• Able to make decisions and solve problems under pressure
