Concrete Foundation Laborer

Job Description

Laborer work for the construction of forms and assist with the pouring of concrete for foundations, slabs, and walls, using hand and power tools using industry skills developed on the job.

Duties will include

Site preparations, setting up forms, working with rebar and other reinforcements, pouring concrete, and finishing surfaces of the foundations and ensuring alignment and stability of forms prior to and during the concrete pour using power and hand tools on site.

Loading and unloading rebar, panels, concrete, and other materials to and from the work area, pouring concrete into prepared forms, ensuring even distribution and proper coverage, using hand tools like trowels and floats to level and smooth the concrete surface and/or applying desired textures to the surface and monitoring the concrete as it hardens.

Finishing and cleanup will include grinding and polishing the concrete surface, breaking up and removing old or damaged concrete, and removing debris, tools, and equipment from the work area.

You will need

Reliable Transportation - work location moves from site to site in the Inland Northwest

Be able to tolerate and work in all weather conditions

1+ years of experience in concrete work and outdoor labor experience preferred

Willingness to learn industry specific skills on the job

Ability to lift a minimum of 51 lbs. repetitively but lift weights can be as much as 100 lbs.

Appropriate work clothing (full length work pants, short/long sleeve high visibility shirts, and good boots/shoes preferably with re-enforced toes)
