Introduction to the job

We are seeking a hands-on and innovative High Voltage Electrical Engineer to join our fast-paced engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and testing early-stage hardware prototypes that bring new product concepts to life. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical, firmware, and industrial design to iterate quickly and validate ideas through functional prototypes

Role and responsibilities

  • Design and build proof-of-concept and functional prototypes for new hardware products
  • Conduct hands-on testing, validation, and troubleshooting of prototype hardware.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of designs, test results, and iteration history.
  • Develop detailed requirement and design documentation to support engineering and development processes.
  • Execute high voltage modules qualification and troubleshoot issues to ensure performance and safety standards.
  • Support system integration activities in cleanroom environments, ensuring alignment with design specifications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support team and organizational objectives

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree with 3 years hands-on experiences, in electrical engineering or related majors

  • Practical experience in:

  • Schematic capture and schematic-level simulation.

  • High voltage (HV) layout and module design in collaboration with mechanical engineers.

  • Troubleshooting and debugging of electronic modules.

  • Experience with more than 30KV HV modules manufacture, testing and measurement.

  • Proven ability to work independently with advanced skills in HV module design, layout optimization, tuning, and troubleshooting.

  • Familiarity with lab equipment such as potting machine process and electrical measurement equipment.

  • Familiar with international standards on electrical design especially for high voltage design;

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

Skills

  • Proficiency in simulation tools for high voltage modules.
  • Solid background in analog circuit design.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical measurements and instrumentation.
  • In-depth understanding of high voltage systems and related safety practices.
  • Prior experience in SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) electronics is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and analyze technical data, schematics, and documentation.
  • Strong customer focus with a commitment to quality, efficiency, and professionalism.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in completing assignments.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments with shifting priorities.
  • Results-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Capable of working independently or collaboratively with minimal supervision.
  • Clear, concise, and professional communication style.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Adaptable and quick to learn new tools, technologies, and concepts.

Other information

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:

$94,875-158,125

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.

The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company's 401k plan. Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
