Job Title: Clamp Forklift Operator

Location: Somerset, NJ

Pay Rate: $19.00/hour

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

• 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM

• Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking experienced Clamp Forklift Operators to join our warehouse team in Somerset, NJ. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting daily warehouse operations, including Inbound/Outbound processing, Putaway, Picking, Safety, Maintenance, and Inventory Management. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate clamp forklifts to move, stack, and organize freight

• Execute accurate putaway and picking processes in accordance with inventory systems

• Assist with loading and unloading trailers and containers for inbound and outbound shipments

• Adhere strictly to all warehouse safety protocols and conduct daily equipment inspections

• Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of assigned work areas and equipment

• Participate in routine inventory counts and help investigate discrepancies

• Report any damage, hazards, or inventory concerns to supervisors promptly

• Support general warehouse tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Proven experience operating a clamp forklift in a warehouse or distribution environment

• Familiarity with inbound/outbound processes, inventory systems, and warehouse best practices

• Strong focus on safety and adherence to OSHA regulations

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing physical labor throughout shifts

• Good verbal communication skills

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

• Willingness to work assigned shift and occasional weekends

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced warehouse environment with varying temperature conditions

• Standing, lifting, and forklift operation for extended periods

• Moderate noise levels due to warehouse machinery and equipment
