Overview
The Project Manager will serve as the plant representative to monitor construction activities for all O.N Steven projects, including those at off site locations. The Project Manager will review and comment on all project design submittals, attend submittal meetings and workshops, coordinate construction activities with the on-site Construction Inspector and plant team, witness facility/ equipment testing and start ups, and monitor completed projects during the designated warranty phase.
Responsibilities
- Help identify plant electrical, mechanical and operational needs to be incorporated into new and existing projects
- Review and provide comments for all design submittal plans and specifications (30%, 60%, 90%, 100%)
- Participate in design review workshops and site visits with design engineers
- Perform daily site visits for all ONS projects
- Confirm all project activities meet requirements called out in project specifications and plans
- Attend field meetings, project walkthroughs, equipment and facility testing and start ups
- Review and transfer all RFIs, submittals, proposals and Change Orders from eBuilder to ONS SharePoint
- Coordinate construction activities around ONS plant operations
- Identify plant action items and schedule required plant staff for each project milestone as needed
- Work with Senior Project Manager to schedule internal workshops to discuss project scope with ONS staff
- Schedule pertinent staff for new equipment/ system training
- Schedule daily project updates discussion with Construction Inspector
- Communicate critical shutdowns/ activities with plant staff via email
- Follow up with stakeholders to meet project deadlines for review and comment of all project documents
- Communicate project issues with plant staff and Construction Inspector as they arise
- Perform risk assessments during design to minimize issues discovered during construction
- Develop ongoing list of deficiencies throughout project
- Assist Construction Inspector in development of substantial completion punch list
- Monitor new equipment and facilities during warranty phase to identify issues related to installation or faulty equipment
- May be asked to perform other duties as assigned
Position Type and Typical Hours of Work
- Exempt - Full-Time
- Non - Rotating 40-hour work week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; must be available to work additional hours as needed. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is a schedule requirement

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/ BS)
- Three (3) years of experience
Licenses and Certifications
Required
- A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire
Preferred
- Journeyman Electrician's License
Required within one (1) year of hire
- TCEQ C Surface Water License

Basis of Rating
A recruitment consultant will evaluate all applications against the posted qualifications. The city may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
