HVAC Service Technician Job Description As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, starting up, installing, and repairing rooftop units (RTUs) and commercial ice machines. This role requires proficiency in brazing and soldering on chilled water and copper piping. Experience with restaurant equipment, including ice machines and hoods, as well as 10-ton RTUs, is essential. You should be familiar with all major brands, including Trane, Aon, and Carrier. Responsibilities Diagnose, start up, install, and repair rooftop units (RTUs) and commercial ice machines. Braise and solder on chilled water and copper piping. Work on restaurant equipment such as ice machines and hoods. Handle 10-ton RTUs with expertise. Service and install various HVAC systems, ensuring preventive maintenance. Operate and maintain equipment from brands like Trane, Aon, and Carrier. Essential Skills Experience in HVAC service and installation. Proficiency in brazing and soldering.
