Slip Sheet Operator - Pay $17 per hour Job Description We are seeking a skilled Slip Sheet Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a slip sheet forklift to efficiently load and unload materials while ensuring safety and adherence to all shipping instructions. This position requires attention to detail and an understanding of storage and rotation procedures. Responsibilities Properly inspect and operate a slip sheet forklift. Safely load and unload trailers, ensuring weight distribution and load integrity. Understand and follow storage and rotation procedures. Identify and transport requested materials to and from various locations, including machines, loading docks, and storage areas. Apply understanding of machine loading capacity and schedule for prompt delivery. Use protective materials and strapping equipment to secure loads. Report any problems with materials or transportation to the supervisor. Manage and organize drums, skids, pallets, and other supplies in specified areas. Service equipment and report mechanical or electrical difficulties to the supervisor. Operate forklift safely and handle materials efficiently. Prepare finished products for shipment and maintain inventory records. Perform other related duties as requested. Essential Skills Experience with slip sheet forklift operation. Ability to operate a regular sit-down forklift. Clean driver's license. Proficiency in material handling, inspection, and inventory management. Experience in palletizing and forklift operation. Work Environment This position operates within a non-climate-controlled warehouse. The standard work hours are from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, or from 9 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. The role involves using sit-down forklifts equipped with slip sheet attachments, requiring the completion of 5-10 loads per day, each containing 30 sheets. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, Florida. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
