Distribution Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Distribution Engineer with over 5 years of experience in Centerpoint projects located in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of DDS software, and have expertise in pole relocation and replacement projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement power delivery systems using AutoCAD and DDS software.
• Conduct pole relocations, pole replacements, and ensure compliance with standards and DOT requirements.
• Perform reconductoring and manage unit counts effectively.
• Provide quality assurance and quality control for work completed by junior designers and engineers.
• Support specific Centerpoint projects with precision and expertise.

• 5+ years of experience in distribution engineering or design engineering.
• 3+ years of experience with AutoCAD.
• 3+ years of specific experience supporting Centerpoint projects.
• Proficiency in Distribution Design Studio (DDS) and related engineering software.

• Experience in pole relocation and replacement.
• Strong experience in power distribution and utilities.

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
