Job Description We are seeking a skilled Environmental Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will engage in various fieldwork activities and prepare comprehensive reports related to site assessments, pilot tests, remediation system construction, operations and maintenance, natural attenuation monitoring, and well abandonments. You will be responsible for sampling soil, groundwater, and surface water following Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Standard Operating Procedures. Additionally, you will manage and oversee subcontractors for drilling and excavation projects, prepare scopes of work and cost estimates, and maintain effective communication with coworkers, regulators, and clients. Responsibilities
- Conduct fieldwork and prepare reports for site assessments, pilot tests, and remediation system construction and operations.
- Perform soil, groundwater, and surface water sampling in compliance with FDEP SOPs.
- Oversee pilot testing and remediation system installations and operations.
- Manage and oversee subcontractors for drilling and excavation activities.
- Develop scopes of work and cost estimates for projects.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers, regulators, and clients.
- Expertise in remediation, assessment, and regulatory compliance.
- Field sampling skills for soil, groundwater, and surface water.
- Technical writing abilities for detailed environmental reports.
- Regulatory knowledge of FDEP SOPs and FAC Chapters 62-777 and 62-780.
- Project management skills including subcontractor oversight and cost estimation.
- Proficiency in subcontractor management for drilling, excavations, and remediation system installations.
- Willingness to travel across Florida for fieldwork.
- Strong communication skills with coworkers, regulators, and clients.
