Our client, a leader in the semiconductor industry, is seeking a Semiconductor Design Engineer to join their team. As a Semiconductor Design Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting innovative design projects. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Semiconductor Design Engineer

Location: Folsom, CA

Pay Range: $85/hr - $95/hr+

What's the Job?

  • Perform semiconductor design engineering assignments including engineering and designing chip layout circuits.
  • Conduct circuit checking, documenting specifications, and modifying and evaluating semiconductor devices and components.
  • Review product requirements and logic diagrams for device definition.
  • Take responsibility for projects, or portions of projects, to design, fabricate, modify, and evaluate semiconductor devices and components.
  • Drive and influence signaling, power rail/bump-pattern, ESD definition, package design, and board design.

What's Needed?

  • 10+ years of experience in semiconductor design engineering.
  • Strong background in IO definition, clocking, and voltage domain crossing.
  • Ability to understand and drive floor-planning and its implications to IO design and physical/electrical requirements.
  • Experience in custom data-path definitions and power-efficient designs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
