Mechanical Engineer - MEP | Baltimore, MD

Mechanical Systems Design (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection)

We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer with experience in the MEP industry to join our growing team in Baltimore, MD. This role plays a critical part in designing and delivering innovative, high-quality mechanical systems for commercial, institutional, and healthcare facilities.

What You'll Do

Design mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, process piping, fire protection, and medical gases

Prepare drawings, reports, specifications, and cost estimates

Conduct field surveys, energy audits, lifecycle cost analyses, and energy modeling

Use tools like Revit/BIM, CADD, Trane/TRACE, Carrier HAP, and MS Office

Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and provide construction phase support

Ensure compliance with applicable codes and industry best practices

Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive, high-quality service

What You Bring

Required:

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering

5+ years of experience in mechanical design for buildings

Strong knowledge of building codes, HVAC design, and MEP systems

Proficiency with design software and modeling tools (Revit, TRACE, HAP, etc.)

Excellent communication and project coordination skills

Preferred:

EIT certification

PE licensure or intent to obtain within 12 months

LEED AP or equivalent
