Job Posting Title: Roofer Job Description: Responsible for general roofing/building envelope maintenance and repair of schools and other facilities. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele. Essential Physical Requirements: Constant Lifting five (5) to twenty (20) pounds. Frequent lifting twenty (20) to fifty (50) pounds. Occasional lifting over fifty (50) pounds. Constant bending, squatting, standing, reaching, sitting, walking, climbing, kneeling, crawling, stooping, repetitive motions. Working in high conditions with ladders and scaffolding Position Specific Information (if Applicable): Responsibilities: --- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. --- Perform repairs and maintains general roofing and building envelopes for all District facilities. --- Order parts and materials for repair and maintenance jobs. --- Inspect roofs as required in daily work routines and as requested by supervisory staff. --- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance through the work order system. --- Coordinate and consult with other personnel and supervisory staff on maintenance projects. --- Develop estimates for various repair projects, secures bids and recommends contractors. --- Maintain accurate maintenance records for each building site. Certifications: Education: High School or Equivalent Skills: Position Type: Regular Primary Location: North Terminal One Year Only (Yes or No): No Scheduled Hours Per Week: 40 FTE: 1.00 Approx Scheduled Days Per Year: 260 Work Days (260 days indicates a year-round position. Time off [or Off-Track Days] are then granted based on the position. Any exceptions to the normal off-track time will be noted in the Additional Position Details section above, as scheduled work days.) Minimum Hire Rate: $22.74 USD Hourly Maximum Hire Rate: $29.73 USD Hourly Full Salary Range: $22.74 USD - $36.71 USD Hourly All salary amounts listed above are based on a full-time (1.0) FTE. If applicable, part-time salaries will be prorated according to the assigned FTE.
