This position will assume responsibility for managing the Pattern Shop. The individual must have strong leadership skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively across multiple channels (verbal and written). This person should also have extensive experience with leading project teams and possess strong analytical skills. Experience working on new product introductions is required along with proven success driving continuous improvement efforts focused on quality, cost, delivery, and launch readiness. The individual needs to have proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, and Teams. What You'll Do: (Responsibilities): Responsible to manage salaried employees in the implementation and execution of the established business process for an area in the casting operations and foster an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation. Work is of a technical nature using independent judgment within the limits of GMS; focusing on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE). Possess the ability to deal with complex problems. EXPERTISE Has advanced knowledge and broad experience in the areas led, with the ability to identify and leverage experts in different specialized fields. Often owns a distinct business area within the function. Serves as a resource to their team for technical expertise Additional Job Description Your Skills & Abilities: (Required Qualifications): Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience 7-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment 3 years of Casting/Foundry Launch Experience Project management experience Previous experience leading salaried teams Automotive industry experience highly desirable Demonstrated results-oriented leadership skills with excellent interpersonal and communication skills Highly organized with demonstrated attention to detail Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications Ability to travel domestically and internationally 25% of the time or higher based on business needs. What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications): Master's Degree Engineering or equivalent experience 12+ Years of experience in manufacturing environment Experience with Core Machines/Process Previous Pattern Shop Management experience Understanding of materials, tools, and tool applications Understanding of the use of measuring tools/instruments to layout and verify all dimensions and tolerances required of trades Understanding of running lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses, and other manual/CNC machines and equipment Work Arrangement: Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite.
