Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Engineer to support our Project Managers and field teams in the successful execution of marine and heavy civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, technically skilled, and able to coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction activities from project start to completion. Key Responsibilities: Assist Project Managers with daily project planning, scheduling, and coordination. Review project drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure compliance. Prepare RFIs, submittals, and change order requests. Support field crews with technical problem-solving and layout coordination. Track quantities, materials, and costs for progress reporting and billing. Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials. Ensure projects are executed in accordance with safety regulations and quality standards. Maintain organized project documentation and records. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred). 2+ years of experience in heavy civil or marine construction (preferred). Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment. Proficiency in MS Office, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6 or MS Project). Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in outdoor and marine environments. OSHA 10/30 certification is a plus.
