The Operations Manager reports to the site GM/Director and is responsible for fulfillment operations, including mentorship of a team and the lifecycle of products within their department or area. This includes all aspects related to Safety, Quality, & Productivity. The Operations Manager directs the daily activities of Inbound and/or Outbound operations, which may include receiving, picking, packing, & shipping processes. The Operations Manager must partner closely with Planning and Forecasting teams to translate overarching business goals into specific shift plans for execution. The Operations Manager ensures the team will perform in ways that exceed the Clients' expectations, while exemplifying company values and culture. Key Responsibilities: Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises Support, mentor, and motivate your salaried and hourly workforce Responsible for the overall operational execution of the product life cycle within the department Partner with building leadership to scale the warehouse team based on business demand and forecast Ensure proper handling of all inventory movements & transactions Optimize space and capacity in a large fulfillment center environment Ensure adequate staffing, equipment, and space utilization to fulfill production goals during peak holiday weeks and non-peak periods. Develop detailed operations plans and schedules for peak periods based on high-level parameters provided by upper management. Plan resources (both equipment and staff) to meet growth requirements Manage and develop the team to optimize productivity and promote growth Develop, implement, and facilitate processes that focus on achieving measurable improvements to safety, operational efficiency, inventory management, quality, order accuracy, and on-time delivery Maintain environmental, safety, and other relevant regulatory compliance Work with other managers to continuously improve policy, procedures, practices, and training Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of reports regarding daily and weekly operations Provide excellent service to all internal and external customers Actively participate in LEAN programs within the facility, including standardized work, visual management, and 5S Qualifications Must have 5+ years of experience working in a fast-paced warehouse/production/logistics/ high-volume pick, pack production or manufacturing environment Experience managing a collective team of 50+ employees with 3-5 direct reports Ability to use KPIs and data to manage and improve processes Strong interpersonal skills Successful track record in leadership and supervising the work of subordinates Strong customer orientation and problem-solving skills, including 5W or 8D root cause analysis Ability to establish priorities and multitask Possess professional business demeanor Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment Experience with Project Management, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies Demonstrated servant leadership behavior The ability to stand, walk, squat, and bend for prolonged periods The ability to lift to 50 lbs.
