JOB DESCRIPTION

CTR Group is seeking a Pipefitter for our Client in Wisconsin. Immediate openings and urgently hiring!

Pay: $32 PLUS per diem for non-local candidates

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assures that tankpartment has an updated safe for hot work ticket and that requirements of the ticket have been met. (Example: ventilation, lighting, safety equipment etc.).

Assures that conditions of the tankpartment have not changed since the ticket was written. (Example: fuel run back, unsafe working conditions, etc.).

Assures that a Work Authorization Form (WAF) ticket is on the job site and that it is for the specific job being aplished, no work will be aplished without a WAF posted at location of repairs.

Assures that any other safety issues areplied with that relate to the specific job being aplished (Example: special staging, face shields for grinding, protective clothing for hot work-related jobs, breathing apparatus with correct cartridges, etc.).

Assures that you are trained or qualified for the work you are assigned to do (Example: JLG, forklift, welding, brazing, special electrical/mechanical repairs and etc.).

Assures that thepany's Safety Procedures, including testing, are utilized for all torch work.

Assures that you and personnel working under your direction are working as safely and as productively as possible maintaining quality control at all times.

Assures that a 30-minute cool down period has been aplished in hot work areas.

Assures that fire watches are assigned and maintained in the proper position.

Assures that the job site is left in a safe and clean condition prior to departure.

Identify pipe class and material fittings.

Responsible for effective, efficient and safe aplishment of all assigned tasks.

REQUIREMENTS:

Read and interpret blues/sketches and install all piping systems aboard ship.

Fit/install backing rings, E.B. rings.

Ability to fit and install mechanically attached fittings.

Ability to thread piping and to tap holes to proper sizes.

Kledge of P-1 and Level 1 piping systems.

Install pipe hangers/supports IAW applicable hanger drawings.

Perform shop prefab on piping systems using sketches/templates developed from blues and ship check.

Ks and understands tag out procedures for piping systems using sketches templates developed from blues prior to working on ships' piping system.

Be able to aplish tag out of systems safe for work IAW work authorization form (WAF).

Kledgeable on pipe bending and able to bend piping manually or by machine, utilizing templates/sketches and packing piping to avoid contortion.

Ability to prep piping for welding using grinders or beveling machines and k/understand different types of bevels.

Kledge of various types of pipe and fitting materials and the proper material application in regard to piping system requirements.

Kledge of valve types and properly packing of valves.

Kledge of bolting requirements, i.e., various material types/requirements for flange bolting.

Kledge of MIL-STD-777 (the various types of pipe and fitting material and the proper material application in regard to piping system requirements.)

Ability to set up and perform hot water flushing on sil-braze piping systems.

Be able to sil-braze.

Ability to properly fit flanged joints to include proper gaskets and fasteners.

Kledge of hot work.

Ability to hydrostatic test piping systems using approved hydro procedures.

Carrying climbing, crouching, crawling, lifting, pulling, sitting, standing, stooping, walking, kneeling

Must be able to pass a Standard Jaeger's Test chart for near vision acuity reading J1 letters or equivalent with or without corrective aids and pass a color vision test using Ishihara's Tests for Color Deficiency.

Must be familiar with safety regulations andpetent person tickets.
