Help
The purpose of the work is to manage wer and power resources, conduct planning studies, oversee the operions and maintenance of facilities within the Division, ensure personnel safety, and provide for security of a nional critical infrastructure.
Deal with unique, complex, and critical issues and determines the direction for major activities within the Division.
Responsible for planning and scheduling all work to be accomplished by the Field Division.
Approve project work plans, establishes priorities, and prepares schedules for work completion.
Direct the operion and maintenance, routine inspection, predictive and preventive maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment and machinery in the Glen Canyon Dam, powerplant, centralized control facility and appurtenant facilities, and collabores with other offices in providing specialized operions and maintenance in support of power generion.
Direct the performance of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic research as required to solve structural, equipment and opering problems and functions.
Coordine with the Regional Office and Western Area Power Administrion relive to the storage and release of wer and the generion of power from the Colorado River Storage Project (CRSP) facilities consistent with established schedules or special criteria and in cases of emergency conditions, emergency criteria, and individual initiive.
Monitor compliance with Western Systems Coordining Council and the Nional Electric Reliability Council regulions for interconnected power system operions.
Oversee the operion of the Carl Hayden Visitors Center.
Ensure facilities are properly maintained to secure the safety of hundreds of thousands of annual ors.

To qualify the GS-13, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to least the GS-12 level in federal service having demonstred experience SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: This experience includes 4 out of the 5 duties listed below:
1: Management of a powerplant's operions, work and maintenance scheduling, organizional unit's external relions and partnership program;
2: Supervising a workforce engaged in powerplant maintenance;
3: Experience in the administrive responsibilities of program management (budget, contracting, human resources),
4: Serving as an advisor to management on the operion of a powerplant; and
5: Long / short term goal-oriented planning and accomplishment of work through collaborion with division supervisors, volunteers, partners, non-profit organizions and local ste and federal entities.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through Nional Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizions (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience th transles directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Help
The purpose of the work is to manage wer and power resources, conduct planning studies, oversee the operions and maintenance of facilities within the Division, ensure personnel safety, and provide for security of a nional critical infrastructure.
Deal with unique, complex, and critical issues and determines the direction for major activities within the Division.
Responsible for planning and scheduling all work to be accomplished by the Field Division.
Approve project work plans, establishes priorities, and prepares schedules for work completion.
Direct the operion and maintenance, routine inspection, predictive and preventive maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment and machinery in the Glen Canyon Dam, powerplant, centralized control facility and appurtenant facilities, and collabores with other offices in providing specialized operions and maintenance in support of power generion.
Direct the performance of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic research as required to solve structural, equipment and opering problems and functions.
Coordine with the Regional Office and Western Area Power Administrion relive to the storage and release of wer and the generion of power from the Colorado River Storage Project (CRSP) facilities consistent with established schedules or special criteria and in cases of emergency conditions, emergency criteria, and individual initiive.
Monitor compliance with Western Systems Coordining Council and the Nional Electric Reliability Council regulions for interconnected power system operions.
Oversee the operion of the Carl Hayden Visitors Center.
Ensure facilities are properly maintained to secure the safety of hundreds of thousands of annual ors.

To qualify the GS-13, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to least the GS-12 level in federal service having demonstred experience SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: This experience includes 4 out of the 5 duties listed below:
1: Management of a powerplant's operions, work and maintenance scheduling, organizional unit's external relions and partnership program;
2: Supervising a workforce engaged in powerplant maintenance;
3: Experience in the administrive responsibilities of program management (budget, contracting, human resources),
4: Serving as an advisor to management on the operion of a powerplant; and
5: Long / short term goal-oriented planning and accomplishment of work through collaborion with division supervisors, volunteers, partners, non-profit organizions and local ste and federal entities.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through Nional Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizions (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience th transles directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
