Handyman

We are seeking a reliable, skilled Handyman to work directly under a General Contractor on residential and/or commercial construction projects. The Handyman will support various tasks including basic carpentry, painting, drywall, and general repairs. This role is ideal for someone who is versatile, detail-oriented, and able to follow directions while working independently when needed. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day construction and maintenance tasks Perform basic carpentry, drywall repair, patching, and painting Handle minor plumbing and electrical tasks (e.g., replacing fixtures, unclogging drains) Install shelves, fixtures, doors, and other building components Support job site setup and cleanup Load, unload, and organize tools and materials Follow instructions and timelines provided by the Project Manager Maintain a clean, safe work environment Identify and report any issues or hazards to the General Contractor / Project Manager Requirements: 1-3 years of experience in general handyman or construction work Broad knowledge of basic trades (carpentry, drywall, painting, etc.) Ability to work on multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to work safely with tools and equipment Must be punctual and dependable Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Basic personal tools preferred (specialty tools may be provided) Preferred Qualifications: Experience working directly with or under a general contractor Knowledge of building codes and job site safety standards OSHA 10 or 30 certification a plus Ability to read simple blueprints or work instructions
