Roadway Design Engineer

Our client is looking to add a Roadway Design Engineer to their team. This is a direct hire opportunity located in Effingham IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design and plan production of municipal roadway, highway, and pedestrian projects. Key responsibilities include developing horizontal and vertical alignments, cross sections, drainage plans, and resolving utility conflicts, all while collaborating with project managers and other engineers. Proficiency in CADD software, particularly MicroStation/Open Roads Designer (ORD) or Civil 3D, is essential. The position is well-suited for a team player with a people-first mindset who is eager to work on a variety of meaningful projects.

responsibilities:

• Design and plan production for municipal roadways, interstate highways, intersections, interchanges, ADA compliant sidewalks and multi-use facilities
  
  
• Provide roadway design elements including horizontal and vertical alignments, cross sections, intersection layout, drainage design, pedestrian facility design, utilities conflict and relocations, as well as other roadway design tasks
  
  
• Work collaboratively with Project managers, and other Project Engineers to develop effective project solutions
  
  
• Display an eagerness to work on a wide variety of project types
