Job Title: Senior Project Manager - Heavy Civil Construction

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager – Heavy Civil to lead and oversee the successful execution of complex heavy civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of direct experience managing projects including (but not limited to) earthwork, underground utilities, site concrete, asphalt paving, and total roadway construction .

This role will be responsible for managing project teams, maintaining client relationships, ensuring financial targets are met, and upholding the highest safety and quality standards.

• Manage all phases of heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction to closeout.

• Direct project team including superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and cost control strategies.

• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

• Coordinate with clients, inspectors, and regulatory agencies to ensure successful project delivery.

• Manage contract negotiations, change orders, and risk mitigation efforts.

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance feedback to project teams.

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing heavy civil construction projects.

• Proven experience in earthwork, utilities, site concrete, asphalt paving, and full roadway construction.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

• Strong understanding of civil construction methods, materials, and equipment.

• Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, HCSS HeavyJob, Primavera P6, MS Project) is preferred.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
