Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Project Architect within our Healthcare Practice in Charlotte, NC. The role involves working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver architectural projects, mentoring junior staff, and coordinating efforts across multiple phases. This position requires a proactive individual who can manage client relationships, ensure code compliance, and contribute to project documentation and administration. Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team on architectural project layouts and detailing.
- Mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Independently coordinate the work of the team across various project phases.
- Establish and participate in owner/client and internal meetings, and reviews with governing agencies for code compliance.
- Conduct work sessions on project sites in collaboration with Project Manager and other disciplines.
- Manage team workload to ensure timely completion of project documents.
- Review architectural documents to identify and resolve conflicts with other disciplines.
- Perform quality assurance/quality control and technical reviews.
- Write and edit architectural specifications.
- Coordinate with affected disciplines on addenda, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders during construction administration.
- Incorporate agreed-upon changes into project documents.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and related tools.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in architecture.
- Registered Architect with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a closely related field.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Project Schedule.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated graphic presentation skills.
- Experience in preparing and laying out architectural contract documents and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and good planning practices.
- Technical mindset with a focus on resilient design.
- Experience in transportation, water, data centers, federal, central energy plants, and/or industrial project types.
- Local candidates are preferred.
